Paris-Charles de Gaulle has 9 terminal zones spread across 3,200 hectares. Each has its own chauffeur meeting point, its own access specifics, CDGVAL shuttle stops and exits. For a traveller stepping off a long-haul flight, tired and with two suitcases, knowing exactly where to go makes a considerable difference. This guide walks through every CDG terminal, with the exact meeting point for your private chauffeur, alternative access routes, and pitfalls to avoid. All Precellence chauffeurs are English-speaking.
The CDG system at a glance
CDG comprises 3 historical terminals (T1, T2, T3), with T2 subdivided into 7 halls (2A, 2B, 2C, 2D, 2E, 2F, 2G). The terminals are linked by the CDGVAL, a free automated shuttle train running T1, T2 and T3 in a continuous loop (24/7, frequency 4-7 min). Count 5 to 12 min of travel time between terminals depending on your departure station.
Each terminal has its own dedicated pre-arranged transportation pick-up zone, distinct from the taxi rank. This area is marked by the airport signage "Pre-arranged transportation" or "Chauffeurs / Pick-up".
Terminal 1
Circular-shaped terminal, serving mainly Star Alliance carriers (Lufthansa, United, ANA, Singapore Airlines, Avianca, Asiana). 7 numbered satellites, accessible from a central ring.
- Arrivals exit: CDG-Exit 24, level 0 (ground floor)
- Precellence meeting point: facing the automatic exit doors, arrivals side. Your chauffeur waits with a name sign in the "Pre-arranged transportation" zone.
- Specific note: the circular layout means there is a single, highly visible exit. No risk of going to the wrong side.
- CDGVAL access: Terminal 1 has its own station, accessible via moving walkways from the central hall.
Terminal 2A & 2C
Twin halls, operating mainly Air France short and medium-haul (network organisation since ~2024). 2A and 2C are connected by an interior passage.
- Arrivals exit: level 0 of the relevant hall
- Meeting point: "Chauffeurs with reservation" zone on the left as you exit the automatic doors
- Specific note: in 2A, the zone is directly in front of the exit. In 2C, it is slightly off-centre — follow the "Pre-arranged Pick-up" signs.
Terminal 2B & 2D
Twin halls, hosting European carriers (Lufthansa, KLM shares 2D with Air France, Iberia, Brussels Airlines).
- Arrivals exit: level 0
- Meeting point: dedicated zone on the right of the main exit, facing the currency exchange desks. The chauffeur zone is separated from the taxi rank by about 30 metres.
- Specific note: there is an underground passage between 2B and 2D — avoid going back up to street level if you change halls.
Terminal 2E & 2F
The busiest terminals, international long-haul flights (Air France long-haul, Delta, Korean Air, Vietnam Airlines, AirAsia, Etihad, Qatar Airways, and Emirates for part of its schedule). 2E is subdivided into sub-halls: K, L, M.
- Arrivals exit: arrivals gallery on the Arrivals level, located below the departures hall. After exiting baggage claim, you go up by escalator to this gallery.
- Precellence meeting point: in the arrivals gallery, in a clearly marked "Pre-arranged transportation/Chauffeurs" zone. All chauffeurs wait there with a name sign. Visible immediately on exit from baggage claim.
- Specific note: the arrivals gallery being very large, your Precellence chauffeur sends you an SMS with their precise GPS position in the gallery 30 min before landing. If you arrive in sub-hall K, the chauffeur will wait on the K side.
- Pitfall to avoid: do not exit toward the outdoor forecourt (taxi drop-off zone) — private chauffeurs cannot stop there. Stay in the interior gallery.
Terminal 2G
Small terminal dedicated to regional carriers (HOP!, Air France regional, some short-haul connections). Access via free shuttle N2 from Terminal 2F (5-10 min by bus). Few travellers land here.
- Arrivals exit: central hall, level 0
- Meeting point: facing the main terminal exit. Very visible, low foot traffic.
- Precellence tip: some clients prefer the chauffeur to wait at Terminal 2F (faster vehicle access) and then take the N2 shuttle to 2F. State your preference at booking.
Terminal 3
The smallest CDG terminal, dedicated to low-cost and charter carriers (Vueling, easyJet, Transavia, Pegasus, Norwegian, Wizz Air, some Morocco flights).
- Arrivals exit: main hall at level 0
- Meeting point: directly at the exit doors, compact terminal, so very visible.
- CDGVAL access: station "Aéroport CDG 1 - Terminal 3", a 5-minute walk via covered walkway.
Business aviation — Le Bourget & FBO CDG
For private jet or business aviation arrivals, the meeting point is different:
- Le Bourget (LFPB): chauffeur waits directly on the tarmac or in the FBO lounge depending on day-specific clearances (Dassault Falcon Service, Universal Aviation, Advanced Air Support). Zero transit time.
- FBO at CDG: some FBO operators run from CDG-South (Gabriel-Fauguet zone or CDG business zone). The chauffeur has specific access with prior clearance. State the FBO at booking.
The Precellence welcome protocol in every terminal
For every terminal, the standard is identical:
- 15 min before scheduled landing: your chauffeur is on site
- 30 min before landing: you receive an SMS with the chauffeur's name, vehicle model, licence plate and precise GPS position in the terminal
- As soon as you exit baggage claim: the chauffeur is waiting with a name sign (or with an anonymous name if you prefer for discretion)
- Systematic baggage assistance, mineral water on board, USB-C/Lightning chargers, Wi-Fi
- 60 min of free waiting time after landing (real-time flight tracking included)
What if I cannot find my chauffeur?
This rarely happens thanks to the SMS system, but in case of difficulty:
- Call the chauffeur directly — their number is in the pre-arrival SMS. They will describe their exact position and come to meet you.
- Call the 24/7 support line: +33 6 95 87 81 86 — we locate the chauffeur in under 60 seconds and put you in direct contact.
- WhatsApp: same number, response in under 2 min, public holidays included.
Our commitment: you are never left alone searching a CDG terminal. Human contact 24/7 is an integral part of the Precellence experience.
